Aquarium of Genoa entry ticket

The experience

It is the simplest ticket: entry to the Aquarium of Genoa, on Ponte Spinola in the Porto Antico, for the date and time slot you choose when booking. In the options you can add a lunch with sandwich and chips, the street food ordered in advance or focaccia. There is no guide: the listing puts it among the exclusions. It starts from $37 per person (GetYourGuide, October 2026), with free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

The official fixed-date ticket starts from 26 euros online for an adult: the price is dynamic, ranges from 26 to 34 euros and changes with the season, date, time slot and demand (the Aquarium's slogan is «the earlier you buy, the less you pay»). At the ticket desk it costs 34 euros. The chosen date and time slot are binding and that ticket is non-refundable; Open Flexi costs 38 euros and allows one date change. They are sold by acquariodigenova.it and the ticket desks at the entrance. Children aged 4 to 12 pay from 16 to 25 euros and children up to 3 years enter for free. Here you also have free cancellation and, in the options, lunch. How the official price moves is explained in the dynamic pricing page.

The rule that matters is the time. The listing asks you to strictly respect the chosen entry time, and the Aquarium sales conditions say the same: you cannot enter on a different date or in a different time slot than the one on the ticket. The last entry is 2 hours before closing, which changes with the season. You enter only once. Inside you will find about 10,000 specimens of 400 species, in the largest aquarium in Italy; the visit lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes, with no maximum limit.

  • Entry to the Aquarium on the date and in the half-hour you choose
  • Lunch in the options: sandwich with chips, street food or focaccia
  • The dolphins in the Cetacean Pavilion by Renzo Piano, with four outdoor tanks
  • Sharks, seals, penguins, manatees and jellyfish along a route marked in blue
  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before

How it works

  1. At bookingDate, time slot and option

Choose the day, the entry half-hour and, if you want, the option with lunch. The ticket is valid only for the selected date.

  2. Before leavingThe day's hours

The Aquarium is open 365 days a year, with three possible opening times: from 9:00 to 20:00, from 10:00 to 19:30 or from 9:00 to 22:00. The one for your day is on the official calendar; the last entry is 2 hours before closing.

  3. At entryTicket and half-hour

Show your ticket in your time slot. Without a valid ticket, the listing warns, access will be denied.

  4. About 2.5 hoursThe route

Follow the route marked in blue: the shark bay, the seal island, the ice kingdom with penguins, the mermaid lagoon with manatees, the Cetacean Pavilion and the jellyfish dance. There are no shows.

  5. If you have the optionLunch

The listing does not say where to collect lunch: you find it in the booking details. If you bring lunch from home, there is a picnic area on the Nave Blu bridge.

  6. At exitNo re-entry

The ticket is valid for one entry only: once you leave, you cannot re-enter.

Tips before booking

  • Choose a time slot you can really respect: the listing asks you to observe it strictly and the Aquarium does not let you in at another half-hour.

  • Allow about 2 hours and 30 minutes for the visit: there is no maximum limit, but once you leave you cannot re-enter.
  • Amateur photos and videos are allowed, without flash or lights for videos.
  • Animals must stay outside: only assistance dogs are allowed in.
