How to pay less for the Aquarium of Genoa ticket?

By buying online and early: the dynamic price starts at 26 euros and the operator itself advises buying in advance.

On the sales site, choose the day and time slot, and you will see the price for that combination. Different dates and half-hours may have different prices, always within the range from 26 to 34 euros for adults.

The downside: the Fixed Date ticket cannot be changed or refunded. If your plans are not certain, there are two options with more flexibility. Open Flexi from 38 euros allows one date change; GetYourGuide tickets can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Are there discounts or promotions for the Aquarium of Genoa?

Yes, at the desks: «Mercoledì dei genovesi» at 17 euros for residents and «3rd child free» for large families.

• Mercoledì dei genovesi: every Wednesday, excluding holidays and evening openings, those residing in Genoa or the province pay 17 euros, a flat rate for adults, children and reduced. A document proving residence is required.
• The 3rd child free: applies to 2 adults paying full price with at least 3 children aged 4 to 12, only at the ticket desks.
• The reduced price, from 20 to 29 euros online, for over 65s, military personnel and people with certified disabilities.

Fixed Date or Open Flexi ticket: what is the difference?

Fixed Date locks day and half-hour at the time of purchase; Open Flexi is valid for one year and allows one change.

With Data Fissa you choose the date and time slot when you pay, and the choice is binding: the ticket «is in no way refundable» and cannot be changed.

Open Flexi costs 38 euros for an adult and is valid for one year from purchase. You book the date and time slot later, in your reserved area, and you can change them once, up to 2 hours before the chosen entry time. Open Flexi is also non-refundable.

Are the Aquarium of Genoa tickets in the holder's name?

No: the operator states that tickets «ARE NOT IN THE HOLDER'S NAME», so you can pass them on to another person.

The name that appears is that of the person who bought it. If you cannot go, the ticket can be used by someone else, but on the same date and time slot: changing the person does not change the entry rules.

For reduced and free tickets, however, a valid document proving the condition is required at the ticket office. The companion of a person with 100% disability enters for free, by collecting the ticket at the ticket desk with the certificate. Which combined tickets exist?

Four official formulas: AcquarioVillage, Aquarium with Città dei Bambini, PianetAcquario and the annual Acquario Pass subscription.

In combined tickets, the time slot rule only applies to the Aquarium. With AcquarioVillage you book the Città dei Bambini at the time of purchase and the Aquarium time slot afterwards, in the reserved area; Bigo and Biosfera do not require booking. PianetAcquario also has dynamic pricing, from 37 to 45 euros for an adult.

Official ticket or GetYourGuide: what does each include?

The official ticket covers entry; the GetYourGuide options add, according to the listing, lunch, other attractions and free cancellation.

Here are the options side by side, with the starting prices of October 2026: euros for the operator, dollars for GetYourGuide.
