Aquarium of Genoa and FantaCinema

Two entries with a single purchase: the Aquarium of Genoa and FantaCinema, a museum dedicated to fantasy cinema with original props, statues, posters and soundtracks. For those who love sci-fi and fantasy films and want to add a short visit to their Aquarium day.

Aquarium and FantaCinema

The experience

The ticket includes two entries. The first is the Aquarium of Genoa, the largest aquarium in Italy: about 10,000 specimens of 400 species, from dolphins to penguins, from manatees to sharks, in a visit that the operator estimates at about 2 hours and 30 minutes. The second is the FantaCinema, which the listing describes as a museum on the history of fantastic cinema: original pieces, memorabilia, statues, articles and posters, with the soundtracks of cult films in the background. It tells how this genre was born and how it developed.

The most important thing to know first: the Aquarium time slot is not included in the booking. The listing asks you to reserve it after purchase, and for combined tickets like this, it is done on the Open tickets booking page of the official website. At the Aquarium you enter only on the chosen date and in the chosen half-hour, which must be respected. There is no guide and no food or drinks: it is a free visit, at your own pace. Reviews describe FantaCinema as a small museum, to be seen in a short time.

The price starts from $40 per person (GetYourGuide, October 2026), with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. For comparison, the official Aquarium fixed-date ticket starts from 26 euros online, with a dynamic price between 26 and 34 euros that changes with the season, date, time slot and demand, and costs 34 euros at the ticket desk; Open Flexi costs 38 euros. The official fixed-date ticket is non-refundable. You will find all rates on the Aquarium tickets page and in the Aquarium tickets guide.

Tips before booking

  • Book the Aquarium slot immediately after purchase: without it, you do not have a guaranteed half-hour.
  • Check the day's hours on the official calendar: the time bands change with the date and the last entry is two hours before closing.
  • The Aquarium ticket is valid for one entry only: if you leave for FantaCinema, you cannot re-enter.
  • Food is not included: in the Aquarium there is the Tender halfway through and a picnic area on the Nave Blu bridge, while eating is not allowed in the exhibition rooms.
  • Animals are not allowed, except assistance dogs: this rule applies both to the listing and to the Aquarium.
